Kenneth Matreyek, PhD
Kenny obtained his B.Sc. at UCLA, and a PhD in Virology from Harvard. He was an American Cancer Society postdoctoral fellow in the Genome Sciences Department at the University of Washington.
Interests: Contemporary music. Soccer. Running. Hiking. Birding. Data analysis. Woodworking. Gardening (ie. cultivating his plant army).

Sarah obtained her B.Sc. at the University of Toledo, and has many years of bioengineering experience.
Interests: Taekwondo (black belt), comedy, creative writing, and science communication & education
Nidhi obtained her M.Sc. in Biotechnology at MSU Baroda, India and PhD in Cancer Biology at Central Drug Research Institute in Lucknow, India. She is interested in exploring the pathophysiology of chronic and viral diseases.
Interests: Gardening, crafting and cooking.
Nisha obtained her B.Sc. in Biotechnology from University at Buffalo, and started at CWRU in the fall of 2020. She is studying the STIM1-Orai1 pathway of store-operated Ca2+ entry.
Interests: Dance, baking and miscellaneous arts and crafts.

John obtained his B.Sc. from the University of Washington, and started at CWRU in the fall of 2022.
Interests: Many musical instruments. Tabletop games.
Olivia obtained her associates degree in biotechnology science from Lakeland Community College.
Interests: Baking, clarinet.
Biology major, art history minor. Working under Nisha’s immediate supervision.

Anna Bruchez, PhD
Anna obtained her B.Sc. at MIT, and a PhD in Virology from Harvard. She is the resident Ebola virologist and expert on viral entry mechanisms.
